Strawberry Jello Parfaits: What Are They?

Jello Parfaits with Strawberry Cool Cream are simple sweets prepared using jello and cool whip. It’s served as a parfait and is a refreshing spring or summer treat!

Ingredients

1 3oz package Strawberry Jello-o
1 cup sliced fresh strawberries optional
1 cup thawed Cool Whip whipped topping

Strawberries — for the best results, use fresh, fully ripened strawberries.

Directions

Prepare Jello-o according to package directions. Set aside 1/3 cup.
Add fruit to remaining Jello-o and spoon into 4 to 5 dessert or wine glasses. Chill glasses at an angle until jello is set (overnight is best) Fold whipped topping into remaining (1/3 cup) jello-o. Refrigerate until ready to use.
Spoon topping mixture into glasses of set jello. Top with a dollop of Cool Whip, and garnish with fresh strawberries. Keep chilled until ready to serve Chill.

Tips

-Look for sugar-free jello to create these Jello Parfaits without the added sugar. Use coconut cream to make a dairy-free variation. The gelatin in the Jello is what causes it to solidify.

-Instead of several layers, make two layers with strawberry jello on one layer and strawberry pudding mix on the other.

-Toppings: Instead of fresh strawberries, freeze-dried strawberries may be sprinkled over the Jello Parfaits. Banana, pineapple, kiwifruit, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries are all delicious.

How to Keep Jello Parfaits Fresh

The Jello Parfaits may be prepared ahead of time. Cover the glasses with clingfilm and place them on a tray. They may be kept in the fridge for up to 5 days.
